La free software foundation si lancia senza mezzi termini contro il “miracolo” tecnologico di casa Apple. Sul Blog della FSF sono stati illustrati ben cinque motivi per cui non acquistare l’iPhone, il primo punto è quello che scondo molti riassume pienamente il punto di vista della FSF, potete comunque leggere tutto il resto a questo indirizzo. L’iPhone contrasta lo sviluppo e la diffusione del software libero, è vero infatti che gli sviluppatori che intendono creare software per il dispositivo mobile di Apple sono costretti a pagare per farlo, di fatto in questo modo la Apple controlla tutto quello che può “girare” sul proprio dispositivo. La FSF se la prende anche con la politica commerciale decisamente discutibile di Apple che prende soldi da quegli utenti che poi “imprigiona”, poco importa se si tratta di una prigione ben arredata. In Italia chi ha acquistato l’iPhone si è imprigionato doppiamente, da un lato l’operatore che offrendo un pagamento dilazionato travestito da risparmio, blocca il contratto per due anni e dall’altra la Apple che come accennato prima ha il pieno controllo sul “contenuto” del dispositivo. Unitamente a tutto questo ci sono le mancaze funzionali, gravi, dell’iPhone: non si registrano video, non si mandano MMS, nessun conteggio dei caratteri nell’editazione degli SMS etc etc… Tutto ciò ci fa capire come la strategia di marketing unita ad un design decisamente accativante conti molto di più dei contenuti offerti, un bel “pacco” con un contenuto di dubbia qualità si vende bene e questo a Cupertino lo sanno…
